About Ivy

  • Status: Available for Adoption (adoption info)
  • Species: Dog
  • General Color: Tan
  • Current Age: 1 Year 2 Months (best estimate)

Listen up, mates! I’m Ivy, a year old Alaskan Dingo, and I’m on the lookout for my forever home. Let’s get real: I’m not your average dog, but if you’re up for the challenge, I promise I’m worth every bit of effort.

Here’s the deal. I’m 40 pounds of high energy and super smart. Boredom? Not on my watch. I’ll keep you on your toes with my quick wit and endless curiosity. Got some puzzles or agility courses? Bring ‘em on! I’m here to impress and outsmart every challenge you throw my way.
But let’s cut to the chase—I’m high maintenance, and I own it. I’ve got separation anxiety, so I need a human who gets that I’m happiest when we’re together. Leave me alone for too long, and I might just orchestrate a jailbreak. I’m like Houdini, but with fur and cute.

Strangers? Meh, I’m wary of them but learning. I’ve got trust issues, but can you blame me? This world is big and sometimes scary. But once I know you’re my ride-or-die, I’ll be your fiercest protector and most loyal sidekick. You’ll be the Batman to my Robin, the Bonnie to my Clyde.

Routine is my jam. Keep things predictable, and you’ll see me shine. I thrive on knowing what’s next, so let’s keep those surprises to a minimum, okay? Stability is my middle name (well, not really, but you get the point).

Got other dogs? Bonza! I love canine company. I’m a social butterfly with my own kind, ready to romp and play until we’re both knackered. But let’s be clear—I’m the queen bee, and I like things my way.

And one more thing: I like my space when it comes to food and treats. Sharing is not caring in my book, so give me my own corner to enjoy my goodies, and we’ll be just fine.
I’m also kennel trained—on my best days. But let’s be real, a sturdy kennel is a must. I’ve got a bit of a mischievous streak, so I need something escape-proof to keep me safe and sound when you’re not around.

Now, about my education: I insist on continuing to learn and grow. My favorite subjects? Trail manners, recall games, and beginning leash skills. I’m a star student, and I can’t wait to show off my progress while we learn together.

So, if you’re ready for a wild ride and have the time, patience, and love for a sassy, smart, high-energy sheila like me, let’s make this happen. Adopt me, and together we’ll conquer the world—or at least have a ton of fun trying.

Swipe right on Ivy. You know you want to.

Ivy keeps her calendar busy but is always free to meet potential best mates every Sunday from 12-3 at 521 W 41st Ave, Unit G/H.  Be sure to fill out an application ahead of time as she has high standards and won't swipe right for just any ol' bloke.

Please note: All dogs are expected to attend our next adoption event, however sometimes life gets in the way. We encourage you to attend our next event to inquire about meeting or adopting any dog listed on our site or email us to request a meeting outside of an event.
